Message to all NOTD:AM Players
Changes are fixes are meant to be aligned with what Starlite envisioned.
Whether the changes are for the better or the worst, all are fixed till how a complete 1.5 version would be without balancing.

Message to all NOTD:AM Project leaders
Information inside are free to be taken and used on your own.
In line with what Starlite has done in the past, crediting would be nice to tone down some past present future volleys fired at each party.

Message to all NOTD:AM Forum Moderators
May ask and follow up with a reply that the links I have uploaded are proven to be of working status and not some virus/trojan laced zip files.

Feedback
Should anyone has any more bugs or errors that requires fixing, please declare in thread.
Aside from displaying text errors in various skill set, there should be nothing else to be addressed.
Do note that it is fixing , and not balancing them.

Fatal Reporting Procedure
Please state version of map and warcraft 3.
State the amount of people and all the classes used in the game.
State the time the fatal occurred, along with any eventlogs.
State the last action every single player was doing.
Chances are, nobody would admit they cause a fatal, so all incomplete reports will be ignored.
Oh yea, if someone was running maphack, just do not bother reporting it.

Dont lift fixes from what others has done and direct imply its not solved or is a pressing issue in this releases.

EM killing of marines that are of significant health... say above 150hp are normally from the result of manual overide for em sphere.

apparently discharge from CE or coms-array also deals damage ranging from 0 to 15 to allies although not surmounting to a hit in -report/ac

I don't understand why there's a fix out when the other maps are the same, cept have a few balance fixes, more bug fixes and some extra stuff. Nonetheless, feel free to work on your own version of the map. Would be great if the guy working on your map tho, had any idea what was causing the 'Contact' fatal.

Why is there a fix ? well lets start with community you and kyuu
After Aza dropped the project and made it open source, what was the first request by the community ? Fixing of bugs

Kyuu took a lead by making radical changes,
and the community further voiced for a 1.5c with fixes and at best some minor balancing and nothing more.

You ToA, whether the anyone disagree or not have a considerable backing from the community.
Therefore the changes and plans you have can be introduced and implement after some minor presuasive or conditioning of mindsets.

While im not really pointing anything you might think could be hostile to you,
some people do prefer whats supposed to be "original" and other "modified/revised/improved" depending on how you see it.

Reason why being all this fixes came so late, is because the forum community as a whole drove the current mapeditor for this FIXED and TrainingMode out years back.

Im not pointing fingers, but just giving a summary, so whether you people want to deny cant remember or what is none of my business,
tho this forum can once again band together and pressure me from using this board

Contact bug should be obvious what is causing it when you are a mapmaker/editor.

Although i know the reason, i cant release the information on it yet.
So a suggestion would be you afking in the garena notd room and gather the info or just wait it out.

sidenote, sorry if the text and paragraph appears messy, im using widescreen so yea, to me its perfectly ok.

there was a game just in less then a hour time that killed mundus and cerebus seperately in 2 different location,
mundus near sheep pen cerebus near os house within 3sec of each other.
no, not implying its easy or what, but alot of hilarious stuff happened while they had their first attempt

Also you mentioned if its a large team or with fo, you will can simply nuke both of them out.
However assume that theres some deaths and left with a slight less favourable team, players would be forced to split up 2 team,
one to kite cerebus and the other to keep mundus in check while setting up say, some clays cec to lower mundus hp to a killable range.
For the moment, it is well recieved on our side of the community although they are still not able to pull it well enough yet.

As for keeping people away from the game due to difficulty, perhaps its because we play at different place.
We are getting an average of 40notd players(rounded down alot) during after school till sleeping hours gmt+8 2pm-10pm.
Point is that here we are pretty closed knitted with msn contact chain webbing us even if a total unknown appears,
as long he seem decent and most importantly willing, we are willing to include him too

While its true that some players doesnt have any motivation to play better and adapt to various strategy,
over here we could somehow manage to push their standards up abit by hosting training maps.

anyway while you say that revelation has enough of that,
im quite sure you still remember revelation is supposed to be the lousier chapter to get then delta.
like for example, completeing bhd recuse is 100percent no revelation or uss secured increasing the chance of delta.

that aside, its not 100pct you get cerebus and mundus, as eris has a chance.
while luck factor plays a big role in game, theres always a standard set of procedure you can always follow
based on experience of others or self and pushing you to play and enjoy the challenge.

however end of day, as stated above in first post, this map is a fix on what azazel originally wanted it to be
(you can dig the entire forums, its there) minus the balancing issues should azazel had continue and implement them.

Difficulty would remain as hard as it is, maybe balancing issue can be introduce after the completion of fixing is done, but by others.

im not a mapmaker or what, but completion of bhd down ensuring it would be 100percent delta was not something new,
just nobody to confirm it with. im sure you can recall instances USS is destoryed but game proceed on to delta.
USS would just raise the chances of getting delta if the mission before conovy does not have bhd i suppose.
Revelation is suppose to be the sadder chapter to get, requiring the team to do badly like failing mission.

alternatively, we just stay as we are, garena community using the fixed version while toa and kyuu improves theirs.

toa as a player from pies/1st few generation,
wouldnt you convince some players who started from your map to play pies or fixed or even the last offical 1.5c to experience what its like ?

while im not saying which is better, im more towards having a total experience from its roots.

It is a discontinuity problem in the game.

Speaking of fatals, I've played a couple of games now.
Not a single "contact" fatal, and no md5 + smoke fatal even though I really tried.
It could seem that NotD: Am finally has a stable version to play and build on.
For that, I can only thank you for your brilliant effort.

yep, smoke has 100pct nothing to do with md5 fatal.
its like saying burning trees can cause fatal

also, the 1.0d you guys download has a REALLY big problem that seem to fatal all the time.
so far no battlenet players complained about any sort of mass all fataling on battlenet.
its more of the 3rd party lan emulators that are getting it. might be wrong, need more feedbacks

so yea regardless, theres a update and removal of useless version now. change log is in it so i suggest reading there.
also please look at the medal guide and stop asking questions about them, unless you really dont understand it

doesnt really matter.

the beta8 is considerably easier overall.
much easier for those people that doesnt get involved in the community to handle.

so you are scare of extra trees. interesting.
anyway, do you people want the floating bug to be resolved ?

sorry to say, when i returned to notd, from pvt - gysgt all was played on beta4-8
after that there was a slow transition to the last offical version due to the community i have available.

also, you missed the point of those not involved in the community, which im actually refering to normal random pubs.
you probably think im shoot beta8 down as noob version, but i was actually just replying to the earlier post, lazy to quote thats all.

chances are, whoever that wants to play nightmare would supposedly have sufficent knowledge
and would had made some effort to join other players that are of some caliber to further the notd experience.

as for balancing and stuff, that can be left alone since its down to perference.
but across the board, most items and class overall has been buffed more then nerfed,
so its quite right to say due to this, can be attribute to make it slightly easily. of course not game altering.
